Effective October 26, 2026 · internetWorld.ca Corp. · Okotoks, Alberta

Your information belongs to you. This policy explains, in plain language, what personal information internetWorld.ca Corp. collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can access or correct it.

Who we are and who is responsible

internetWorld.ca Corp. is an SEO, AEO and web design company based at 315 Cimarron Bay, Okotoks, Alberta T1S 1R6. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information through this website and when we work with you.

We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Our founder and CEO, Ron Reichert, is our Privacy Officer and is accountable for how we handle your information.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you use our contact form, email us, call, text or meet with us by video, we collect what you choose to share, such as your name, email address, phone number, business name, website and the details of your request.

Information from clients. When you hire us, we may also receive business details, website and hosting logins, and access to accounts such as Google Business Profile, Google Ads and analytics, plus the billing details we need to invoice you. We never store payment card numbers on this website.

Information collected automatically. When you visit this website, we and our service providers collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and your approximate location. We use this for security and to understand how the site is used.

How we use your information

We use personal information to answer your questions and prepare quotes, deliver and support the services you buy, send invoices and keep accounting records, protect this website and our clients’ websites from attacks and abuse, improve the website based on how visitors use it, and meet our legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We do not add you to a mailing list without your consent, in line with Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL).

Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies and similar technology for security, to remember basic settings, and for statistics. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how people find us. Our network and security provider, Cloudflare, may set cookies that help block automated attacks. The Clutch review widget may also set cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser opt-out add-on. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only what they need to do that work:

  • DigitalOcean hosts this website.
  • Cloudflare delivers and protects the website.
  • Google provides Google Analytics, business email and Google Meet video calls.
  • EmailMeForm processes our contact forms.
  • Intuit QuickBooks handles invoicing and accounting.
  • Clutch provides the reviews widget.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to a buyer if our business is sold, under the same protections described here.

Where your information is stored

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held in another country is subject to that country’s laws and may be accessible to its courts and authorities. We choose providers that protect information to a standard comparable to Canadian law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it. Enquiries that don’t lead to work are kept for up to two years. Client and accounting records are kept for as long as Canadian tax law requires, generally six years. Analytics and security logs are kept for shorter periods set in those tools. When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect it

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted HTTPS connections, a firewall and security monitoring, two-factor sign-in for website administration, limited access to client accounts, and regular backups. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to how we use it, subject to legal and contract limits. We will respond within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first. There is normally no charge.

Client websites we build or manage

When we build, host or maintain a website for a client, the client decides what personal information its website collects and is responsible for its own privacy policy. We handle that information only to provide our services and only as the client instructs.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
