Ron Reichert founded internetWorld.ca after building a diverse career bridging hands-on trades and cutting-edge technology.
In 1985, he started his own plumbing company — right as personal computers became accessible for business. He purchased one immediately and began using it daily for operations, giving him an early edge in efficiency and record-keeping.
By 1998, while still leading his successful plumbing, gas service, and construction businesses, Ron founded and led a team to develop an innovative internet-based trades search and hire program — a forward-thinking platform that connected clients with skilled tradespeople online. This project advanced far enough to result in a patent application, showcasing his early vision for digital marketplaces in the trades sector.
Ron continued running his hands-on trades companies until 2010, when he made the complete transition: stepping away from physical work to focus full-time on internet development, which had evolved from a passionate hobby (dating back to the mid-1980s) into a professional mastery. Since then, he has specialized in SEO, web design, digital marketing, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies — becoming a very early adopter of AI with daily use, testing, and integration as the field advanced.
